Some Things We should Know About... Jealousy<div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; text-align: center;">

It is often said that "Jealousy is as the spirit of witchcraft." This statement usually comes from the thought that when a person is jealous, their heart is evil and wicked, and would think, do and say anything that would bring about an unfavorable outcome upon the person, or persons that jealousy is felt toward. Which makes them capable of thinking, doing, and saying anything that is ordained and promoted by the enemy.

There are some things we should know about jealousy:

A jealous heart is a heart that can be filled with unbelief, doubt, fear, hatred, envy and even strife. It is a heart that has no compassion and feels ill will. Jealousy is deceiving and is attached to the lying spirit.

Jealousy is dangerous and disrespectful. Jealousy is also connected to the spirits that will make you steal, reject, gossip, backbite and even cause emotional and physical pain to others. Jealousy is a murderer!

Jealousy is of the devil and is a wile he has used so many times through those who are not watching, fasting and praying for his kingdom to be exposed and destroyed! <span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The spirit of jealousy has no respect of persons! It will manifest through the young, old, the saved and unsaved, the rich and the poor, the educated and uneducated, family and friends, and even in marriages and churches.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Jealousy causes sickness, disease, mental disorders, and financial distress. It will cause sleepless nights and eating disorders and also promote hypocrisy. Jealousy will cause one to enter into a realm of darkness that is hard to find a way out of. It will cause one to be unthankful, ungrateful, and unable to appreciate the blessings of the Lord that have been given to them!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">The spirit of jealousy is attached to a spirit of denial and spiritual blindness which causes one to refuse to admit that they are influenced or controlled by it, now, or have been in the past. Because of this, they will not repent. And, because there is no repentance, jealousy closes the windows of heaven and prevents one's blessings from freely flowing from the Father God!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Jealousy fights against one who faithfully allows it to occupy the mind and heart. Eventually, jealous will kill...both spiritually and naturally! THAT is jealousy's goal for the life of its host.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">BUT! Today is Eviction Day! We can choose to repent and cast out this wicked spirit and all that is attached to it, In The Name Of Jesus!! Fill its place in your heart with the Spirit of God and The Fruit of The Spirit! Never be deceived and overtaken again by jealousy! There is no need for it! You are God's child! Uniquely, fearfully and wonderfully made! There is not room for anything that has not been previously designed in the blueprint of your life!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">"BE" (LIVE, EXIST) as who God has made you, to be! Enjoy what God has blessed you with! Love and cherish who God has placed in your life!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">YOU ARE FULL! Greed will make you miserable and invites jealousy to move in.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Remember these Scriptures:

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Job 5:2, "Surely resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple." Proverbs 27:4,"Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood, but who can survive the destructiveness of jealousy?" (NLT).

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">

Be Wholly, Holy

Leviticus 19:2, "Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel and say unto them, ye shall be holy: for I the Lord your God am Holy."

All of the words in the title are very important to understand. Let's just take a moment to define them:

Be ~ To exist or live. To have presence in the realm of perceived reality.

Wholly ~Entirely, totally, altogether, quite. To the whole amount, extent. So as to comprise or involve all. Completely, without exception.

Holy ~ To be wholly dedicated and devoted to God. Distinct and separate from the world's way of living. committed to right living and purity.

When we look at the word "Holiness," it means the absence of sin, evil, and wrong doing. It is being spotlessly free from blemish. THIS DESCRIBES OUR GOD! And we were created to be like Him. 1 Peter 1:15-16 says, "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all matter of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am Holy."

But being holy is much more than the absence of sin. It is the presence of righteousness, purity and godliness. When we become Believers, God makes us holy by forgiving our sin! He looks at us as if we had never sinned! But while He sees us as holy, we have not perfected holiness. We must still strive each day to be more like Jesus! Wholly Holy!

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 and 2 Corinthians 7:1 teaches us that we grow in holiness by working hard to keep sin out of our lives. Romans 12: 1-2 helps us more, because we can not live holy on our own, but we can present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, which is our reasonable service, and while doing that, He will help us Be Wholly Holy. Deuteronomy 14:2 shows us that God makes us holy by setting us apart as special for Himself! Colossians 1 tells us that through Jesus' death on the cross, in His own human body He brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault! Glory to God! All we have to do is

Be Wholly, Holy! We must know who we are and Be What we are!

The Lord said, "When you choose to Be Wholly, Holy...have presence in the realm of perceived reality, you will begin to see greater works, more of My Power, more of My Presence, more of My Anointing, more of My Grace, and more of My Provision.

You will see less of the manifestations of the devil, sickness, disease, lack, turmoil, and confusion of mind. When you choose to Be Wholly, Holy, you will experience My Glory, My Presence, My Love, My Spirit in ways you have not yet experienced them! You will begin to hear me even more clearly. Doubt and fear will be absent from your lives, you will be confident in your position because that position is in My Presence and in My Will! Be Wholly, Holy! Be Holy! Exist Holy! Live Holy! I have made you Holy. No unclean thing can be deemed Holy. Remove all the unclean things from your lives and bodies.

Some of you will find this hard to do because you see no harm in things that are unholy in your lives. But, My Spirit will begin to convict you of things that you see, hear, taste...places you go and people you are around.

Some of you have to rebuild your temple because there are things that are destroying them and making them unholy. Strive while you can to Be Wholly, Holy. And in the end, I will bring you into a place of complete Holiness...in Glory, with Me!

BE ~ EXIST, LIVE

WHOLLY ~ ENTIRELY, TOTALLY, ALTOGETHER, QUITE, TO THE WHOLE EXTENT, COMPLETELY WITHOUT EXCEPTION

HOLY ~ WHOLLY DEDICATED AND DEVOTED TO GOD. DISTINCT AND SEPARATE FROM THE WORLDS WAY OF LIVING. COMMITTED TO RIGHT LIVING AND PURITY."

Be encouraged! With God's Spirit and His Word, we can be all that He has ordained us to be! Glory to God! Wholly, Holy! That's You! That's Me!

Many of us do this on a daily basis, with the expectation that He will do what we ask. But the Lord spoke this to me,

"There are areas in your life that I want to Heal, and not just help. You need to understand the difference. When you cry out for My help, you are usually asking for my assistance in a matter, or for me to make a situation easier and less difficult. You ask for help with making decisions. Help with finding a job, a mate, a home. Help with paying bills, fixing your marriage, dealing with children, or even help with overcoming your flesh, bad attitudes, ways of thinking, etc. All of them are things you are involved in.

But, there are things that I want you healed from! I want to make you whole in the things that are effecting your life. I want to heal you from things that are trying to take your life! My Healing will make you healthy in all areas. There are things that plague your mind, that I want to make you sound in! There are things I want to bring to an end in your life, therefore you need to be HEALED, NOT JUST HELPED! Only I can do these these things, and your help is not required, only your obedience."

The Lord showed me this example in His Word. John 5:1-9. This is the story about the healing at the pool of Bethesda. There was a man there that had an infirmity thirty eight years, waiting for someone to help him into the pool, when the water was troubled by an angel. However, the man never received healing, because he waited for help getting into the water first. When Jesus saw him, he asked, "Wilt thou be made whole?" The man's answer indicated that he needed help in order to receive healing. But Jesus, with compassion, chose to do more than help him into the pool, instead He HEALED HIM BY HIS WORD! He told the man, "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." And Immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed and walked!

Jesus could have "Helped" the man, which means render assistance to, or give aid to, but instead, He "Healed" him, which means to make healthy, whole and sound! It means to bring to an end or conclusion! To Heal means to free from evil: cleanse: purify...CURE! GLORY TO GOD!! JESUS brought a thirty eight year infirmity to an end, with His spoken Word!! GLORY TO GOD!!

The Lord want to heal us, too! He wants to bring to an end, to a conclusion, everything that we are suffering from! Though this scripture is speaking of physical healing, the Lord wants to heal us from everything that is causing us trouble. He showed me that even though an infirmity is a physical weakness or ailment, and a lack of strength, it can filter over into other parts of our lives. It can produce mental, and emotional suffering, too! Also, mental and emotional suffering will, or can lead to physical infirmities!

So as you read this, receive the fact that God wants to Heal you, not just help you! He wants to take away your infirmity! He wants to take away the pain, and struggle you may have in your physical body because of sickness and disease, and also bring to an end the pain you are feeling from a broken heart, or a discouraged mind! He wants to extinguish the flames of fear that torment you, daily! He wants to bring to a conclusion the thoughts of your pass that haunt you, and bring to an end the state of anger, and not forgiving you may be in because of things done to you by a person, or people! He wants to Heal you! He wants to make you whole!! He is ready to do it by His Spirit, right now! Today!!

But it is your choice to take up your bed and walk in obedience! You must remember, you can't hold on to an infirmity, and be whole, too! Jesus is asking you a question..."WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE?" If you notice, Jesus did not force Himself on the man, even though He knew how long he was sick...He asked him if he desired to be whole! What is your desire? Will you continue to lay on you bed of infirmity, or will you pick it up and walk?! What will your answer be? My answer is YES, LORD!!! HEAL ME EVERYWHERE I HURT! Bed of infirmity? What bed of infirmity!?

For example: "Hi, how are you?" "Fine, how are you?", "I'm good!" Or, this one: "I love you!", "I love you, more!" These are not exactly in-depth discussions, but can be, and sometimes are in fact easily used as cliché's. These brief interchanges are "normal" in the communication of family and friends. Actually, Cliché's are a way of life! They fill our sentences, and saturate our paragraphs. These are patterns of "Superficial Communication." But, if this is the essence of our communication, our relationships will stall, become flat and remain on a superficial plateau! Facts and opinions also fill our conversations. The words go a little deeper, but the true person still remains hidden beneath them. In reality, it is only when honest feelings and emotions are shared real people can be known, loved, and helped.

Often, patterns of superficial communication spill over into our talks with God! We easily slide through worn out phrases and lines that have been "recited" for decades, or we quickly toss in a cliché or two at God and call it prayer! There is no doubt that God hears and understands, but by limiting the depth of our communication, we can become shallow in our relationship with Him. GOD KNOWS US! And He wants to have GENUINE conversation with us!

Let face it...sometimes our prayers are filled with clichés. What exactly is a cliché? It is anything that have become trite or commonplace through overuse. The word, "trite" means lacking freshness or effectiveness because of constant use or excessive repetition. It also means, "stale." Our prayers can also, at times, be described as "Verbiage", which means the excessive and often meaningless use of words. In other words, talking more than necessary, and still not saying anything meaningful and true! This is because we leave out the "real talk" of who we really are, and how we really feel! We fail to admit our faults, sins and shortcomings, and find it hard to repent, because we have become so accustomed to the cover up!

But, in this terrible time we are living in, a time where this world is being heavily influenced by the devil, a time that God is trying to strengthen and bless His people to become the Powerful Warriors He needs us to be, we must change this! We must
TALK TO GOD FROM OUR HEARTS! NO CLICHE'S OR VERBIAGES ALLOWED!

<span style="background-color: black; color: #f3f3f3; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">God wants to hear our hearts! He wants us to bare our souls! He wants us to confess our sins! He wants us to confess our fears! He wants us to confess our doubts! He wants us to ask for His help in times of trouble! Knowing and admitting that we cannot make it without Him! Yes! He wants to hear our cries of despair! And when He rescues us, He wants to hear and feel our celebration!! Which is our thanks, praise and worship!
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">God wants our communication with Him to be honest and true! Not superficially filled with repetitious words we have learned. He does not want a time of clichés and verbiages, but He wants a time of heart felt, intimate, passionate, true communication. A time of prayer when we as His people truly come humbly and honestly...open and ready to hear, and listen, as well as speak!
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">TALK TO GOD FROM YOUR HEART! Cry out to Him from the depths of your soul! Forget the clichés and stop the verbiages. They hinder the answers to your prayers!
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">GOD WANTS REAL TALK! ONLY THEN WILL WE BEGIN TO SEE:
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">~ Real Power and Anointing!
<span style="background-color: white; color: blue; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">TALK TO GOD FROM YOUR HEART! HE WILL HEAR AND ANSWER YOU!
(Lately, I have been hearing this from people directly and indirectly),whether it's at work, with family, or in the church. Many of you may feel rejected, left out, ignored and disliked, even misunderstood...although you strive to love and help others, minister to the need of others, intercede for them, and are in place as a confidant, and even a friend! But your efforts and desires to be accepted, just don't seem to work out, no matter how hard you try!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> I'm talking to those of you that sit back and see others group together, work together, and socialize together, and from the outside, it all looks so wonderful! Which causes you to want to become a part of what you see. So you make an effort to "fit in"...But, when it does not work out, you begin to doubt who you are, you begin to loose focus on your gifts and talents...and even your Call! The enemy starts to make you ask questions like, "What's wrong with me?", "Am I good enough?" or "Why don't people like me!?" Does this sound familiar? It is very familiar to me! Because I have felt the same way...and honestly, sometimes the enemy still brings this feeling my way!
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> This is what the Lord said to deliver me, and give me the strength to overthrow those thoughts and feelings:

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">YOU'RE NOT A PIECE IN THAT PUZZLE!

That puzzle being what the enemy is using to distract, discourage, and destroy you! All because he knows, without a doubt, who you are in GOD! The Lord showed me this...

A puzzle is something that confuses or test ingenuity. And, ingenuity is the quality of being cleverly inventive or resourceful. It also means skill in planning. It means nobility, and being noble means, "illustrious (brilliantly outstanding), aristocratic (upper class), and stately (having impressive dignity). It means of outstanding character."

The reason you don't "fit in" is because where you are trying to fit, is a puzzle created by the enemy, to STOP you from being and walking in the GOD GIVEN ABILITY, which is the ANOINTING to be INVENTIVE AND RESOURCEFUL! The puzzle is designed to STOP you from being SKILLED to work your Ministries, Business, or even Lead, all because of poor planning...YOU CAN'T HEAR FROM GOD, BECAUSE OF WHERE YOUR FOCUS IS, fitting in! The enemy wants to keep you from being ILLUSTRIOUS (especially in your own eyes), And he makes you feel like you are BENEATH INSTEAD OF ABOVE ONLY...And... he wants you to LOSE THE IMPRESSIVE DIGNITY YOU HAVE BECAUSE YOU BELONG TO THE KING OF KINGS!

But today, your mind is going to be renewed...if you let it! Because God said,

YOU'RE NOT A PIECE IN THAT PUZZLE!

I immediately looked it up, to be sure I had the correct understanding of the word. Right away, the Lord began to minister to me.
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> The word Pessimism means, "Inclination to expect the worst. The tendency to see, anticipate or emphasize only bad or undesirable outcomes, results, conditions, problems, etc.

He showed me that when a you have a pessimistic spirit, it is accomplied by the spirit of fear. Fear is the spirit that invites pessimism into your life, and the two then becomes one. The door was opened to fear, when you experience years of bad, hurtful, disappointing, frightening, horrible things in your life. To the point that you expect things to go badly, even when they appear to be, and are truly good. This can even be true in the life of a Believer, who does not recognize the spirit of fear in their life, because of the ability of the enemy to deceive!

YOU ARE FREE...INDEED!

All I can say is THANK YOU LORD!!! This is how the Holy Spirit told me to pray today...to only give thanks to God for EVERYTHING He has done and for what He is doing...so I did just that! Not knowing that My Father was going to show me an area of my life that needed to be addressed to release an outpouring of blessings!!!!! Chains have been broken, yokes have been destroyed, and blessings have been released, TODAY! Look at yourself in the mirror and tell the enemy...
You may ask why I'm sharing this with you...I'm sharing this with all of you, because the Lord said, this is an issue for MANY in the body of Christ!! These spirits ARE DANGEROUS to the Believer, and have no respect of persons...These spirits are HINDERING SPIRITS, THAT NEED TO BE CAST OUT OF THE LIVES OF GOD'S PEOPLE!! And if you are thinking, "How can this be happening in the lives of believers!"... GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF THIS POST AND READ IT SLOWLY. These are spirits sent by the enemy, and YOU MAY HAVE SEEN THEM, TOO! If so, you can be free! Just allow the Lord to work in your heart and in your life!!
We say things like, "I'm waiting on my deliverance", or "I really need a breakthrough!" Forgetting all the promises in the Word of God that address everything we need and can possibly go through in this life!

Today, the Lord spoke to my heart concerning "Breakthrough." and I want you to know, THE TIME FOR BREAKTHROUGH, IS NOW!! All we have to do is PRAY, BELIEVE, AND ASK IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

MAT. 21:22 SAYS, "AND ALL THINGS, WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YE SHALL RECEIVE."
JOHN 14:13-14 SAYS, "AND WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN MY NAME, THAT WILL I DO, THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON.
14- IF YE SHALL ASK ANYTHING IN MY NAME, I WILL DO IT."

So we are clear about what "Breakthrough" is, here is the definition: Breakthrough is an act or instance of removing or surpassing an obstruction or restriction. It is any significant or SUDDEN advance, development, or achievement or increase that removes a barrier to progress. This is what God want for us, RIGHT NOW!!

THE TIME FOR BREAKTHROUGH, IS NOW!! We must BELIEVE God can, will, and desires to give us a breakthrough in every area it is needed! HE'S WAITING ON US! So ...lets do what we have to do, to get what we need from the Lord, NOW!! LET'S PRAY, BELIEVE, AND ASK IN THE NAME OF JESUS!

LORD, IN THE NAME OF JESUS, ANOINT ME FOR BREAKTHROUGH!! (IS.61). LET ME EXPERIENCE BREAKTHROUGH IN EVERY AREA IN MY LIFE!

LET EVERY OBSTACLE, RESTRICTION, BARRIER, MOUNTAIN, STUMBLING BLOCK, WALL, AND EVERY HINDERING SPIRIT, BE REMOVED, NOW, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE LORD, SO THAT I WILL ADVANCE, DEVELOP, INCREASE, PROGRESS, AND ACHIEVE YOUR WILL FOR MY LIFE!

I DECLARE, ACCORDING TO MICAH 2:13, THAT THE LORD MY BREAKER GOES BEFORE ME! SO IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE LORD, I PRAY AND BELIEVE THAT YOU WILL CAUSE ME TO BREAK THROUGH IN:

MY FINANCES, MY HEALTH AND HEALING, MY RELATIONSHIPS, MY MINISTRIES, MY ANOINTING AND CALLINGS, MY PRAISE AND WORSHIP, MY GIVING, MY CAREER, MY MARRIAGE, MY PRAYER LIFE, MY OBEDIENCE, MY SERVICE, MY EMOTIONS, MY FAITH, AND FAITHFULNESS, AND IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST!!

BY FAITH I PRAY THIS PRAYER! I BELIEVE YOUR WORD, AND HEBREWS 11:30 SAYS, "IT WAS BY FAITH THAT THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL MARCHED AROUND JERICHO SEVEN DAYS, AND THE WALLS CAME CRASHING DOWN." (NLT).

It not a teaching on how to love your husband, wife, or children. Nor is about how we as Godly people are suppose to love one another, Jesus told us very explictly how to do that, we just have to read the Word. What this post is really about, is LOVING YOURSELF! Ahhh! Got your attention, huh?

I began to think about this subject when I began to feel insecure about myself and who God called and made me to be. I asked my self a question: "Just who are you?" And when I began to think about it, I found I had a hard time thinking and saying who I really am! My next thought was: "How do you feel about yourself? "(and yes, sometimes it's good to talk to yourself!...you know you do it, too!) It was at that time I realized...I Didn't Love Myself! I had never really taken the time to! This was a real eye-opener.

I had to start facing some facts about me. The first thing I faced is the fact that I have never taken the time to invest in myself, to devote time to what I really wanted out of life. I realized that I had to search for things about myself that I loved, while being able to say many negative things about myself. I realized that all of the beautiful gifts and talents I have, are buried deep inside while I strive fervently to pull the gifts and talents of others out of them, while pushing, and encouraging them into their destiny with so much love, that I am often overwhelmed with concern, and sometimes worry concerning them!

I am beginning to realize that all this must change! I realize that not knowing who I am, and Loving who I am, is a hinderance to my walking into my destiny! It keeps me from allowing myself to operate at my full potential,which was Divinely given to me by God! I began to wonder if my not truly loving myself, could hinder me from truly loving others in the capacity my God desires me to? Is this causing me to worry about what others feel about who I am? Is this causing me to be concerned about being rejected and not accepted?! It is my next thought that moved me to address this matter...THIS IS NOT THE WILL OF GOD FOR ME! So, I decided that I needed to learn to love myself! I put all of my heart into loving and caring about, and caring for others, and now I'm Learning to LOVE...MYSELF!

But after all of that, don't you know I began to think, am I being selfish!? It was then that the Lord stepped into my crazy little mind and said: "If you do not love yourself, it's like saying you are not thankful for who, and what I have made you. It is like saying that I made something that was not good. It is like you are taking the light that I have made you and hiding it under a bushel! It is like saying that My Spirit, which lives inside of you, has not made you the Beautiful, Wonderful, Righteous, Anointed person you are, especially in My eyes! Remember my Word...the same Word you and your husband taught your son since he was a baby...

Psalm 139:14, "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well."
Verse 17, "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!" Learn to see yourself through My eyes...with all of the Love I have for you, which was demonstrated by the death of My Son, Jesus Christ! Learn to think of what My Word says I think of you...Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Learn, now, to Love yourself! Then you will see an even greater work that I will do through you towards others, and My Kingdom!"

After that, all I could do was rejoice and say THANK YOU LORD!!! You might say, "Why is Pastor telling all of this?" Well...IT'S TO ENCOURAGE YOU! Not loving "me", and who God made me, along with the gifts and talents He gave me, even caused me to stop writing my blog! The lack of love for myself and who God made me, cause me to worry about the blog not being supported by some of the people I know, which include some family and friends. But the Lord brought to my attention the last blog I wrote. In one day, there were 1,518 page views for just that post alone, from people I DON'T KNOW! GLORY TO GOD! So, This is for YOU! Learn to love yourself and the God in you, and place your life and the things He has called you to do in HIS HANDS! Someone out there is feeling the same way I did! Someone may face this later on in their life. Or, you may know someone who may be going through this. Whatever the case may be, we all should find ourselves, if you don't already...LEARNING TO LOVE...YOURSELF! Because Someone Greater than you made you to be who you are! It may take a minute, but look forward to the day you can say...
I was praying about things that I desire to see for my church, and for things that the people need and desire in their lives. I was praying about souls being added to the Church, and also about my personal place in Him. This is what the LORD said, and told me to share:
<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Before the Lord began to speak those words to me, He told me to read Psalm 74. This Psalm is a prayer that God's punishment will not last forever. This prayer is a warning that God's grace, mercy, and patience will not put up with sin indefinitely. And I say, especially in The Body of Christ. Eventually, sorrow, trouble and destruction will come...(I'm now thinking...We have already begun to see these things in churches all over the world!). I know the Lord sent this Word, so that we will not have to pray this "Plea for relief." My soul says YES LORD! What about you? How do you feel about the Word of the Lord and its warnings? Let's RUN to be engulfed in the Power and Presence of our LORD! Let us be a people after GOD'S own Heart, and be SAVED!

And I think it is because the Lord has been listening and feeling how I ...and probably many of you, have been talking, thinking, and feeling. Many times the things we face in life causes us to feel tired, broken, and possibly WEAK...physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually! We've all heard the words of advice we get when we tell someone what's really going on with us. But let me encourage you a little differently today:

JOB 3:10 SAYS, "...LET THE WEAK SAY, I AM STRONG."

STRONG meaning: Capable of exerting great force or of withstanding stress or violence ~ Healthy, zealous.

Hear are Synonyms of STRONG: Mighty, sturdy, brawny, hardy, muscular, stout, potent, capable and efficient, valiant, brave, bold and intense, persuasive, impressive, conclusive, steady, firm, secure, unwavering, resolute, vehement, stark and sharp, brilliant and vivid.

Ok... so you get the picture so far? Let take it Higher:

NOTHING DESCRIBES STRONG LIKE HIM!

EPHESIANS 6:10 SAYS, "FINALLY, MY BRETHEREN, BE STRONG IN THE LORD, AND IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT."

If you are like me and most people, the first thing you said when you saw the pictures of these fish is, "Beautiful colors!", or, "Wow! God makes beautiful creatures!", or maybe, "They look strange, but pretty!" But the fact of the matter is, what you are looking at is <span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">DEADLY BEAUTY! These fish are called, "Lionfish."

I want to tell you a little about this fish. The Lionfish are an invasive, venomous species. They enter into the environment of its prey forcefully, as an enemy, with hostile intent, to take possession of what it wants. These fish usually swim in pairs, and their habitat consist of warm problematic waters. They are very beautiful to behold, and they are famous for their stunning fins and spines. But, the spines are loaded with venom!

I know you are probably saying, "What is Pastor Sheila talking about, now?"...But stay with me...give me a moment!

Some other characteristics of the Lionfish are:

A very large mouth! Large enough to gulp an animal nearly as large as its own body.

They will eat their own kind.

They have very few predators = Venomous Spines!

They hunt their prey, corner it, and then sucks it into that large mouth.

Lionfish reproduce explosively! They lay 30,00 eggs every 7 days.

If stung by them, humans experience nausea and breathing problems. There is also difficulty moving limbs. And, the venom in the spines remain active for days-- so even the castoff spines are dangerous, and it takes several months for a full recovery, and if untreated, the part stung may decay!

The Lionfish feed on fish that are important commercial fish such as snapper and grouper.

They are a threat to native fish, and are unwanted, but are almost impossible to get rid of, since they have, some how, arrived here from the Indo-Pacific...most likely by humans trying to gain from their beauty...while missing the fact that they bring with them destruction!

I'm telling you about this beautiful, cleaver, invasive, venomous, carnivorous, quick moving fish to contrast it with our enemy, the devil, who is quickly moving into the lives of Believers, Churches, Families, and Marriages. The enemy is on assignment and is hunting us, with the intent to corner us and suck us into his grasps, where he plans to inject us with his poisonous venom, causing us...our families, our marriages, our Churches/Ministries to die! But, HE IS A LIAR!!

I heard this scripture in my spirit: 2 Corinthians 11:14. "...Even satan can disguise himself as an angel of light." Watch out Saints! He's disguising himself in some very beautiful, clever, invasive, and venomous ways! He's invading in the form of:

Apostles /Prophets/ Evangelist/ Pastors/ Teachers

Church members/ Musicians/ Singers/ Dancers, Mothers in Zion, etc.

Ministry ideas and opportunities

Prospective mates

Friends and Co-workers, and Family members

He is enticing people with Job opportunities, and ways to make money

And the most harmful thing, in my opinion, he's speaking to the minds with thoughts that are camouflaged with things that seem right, and godly, but the end of those things, when they enter the heart and are acted upon, is death!

It is said that the Lionfish inhabits warm, problematic waters...just like the devil! He comes in and waits for his opportunity to strike when our lives are problematic. When we are not doing all the Lord has called us to do. When we are not fasting, praying, and reading the Word. When we become slothful, unconcerned, and unfaithful to the work of the Lord. When we begin to focus on ourselves, and our fleshly desires instead of what God actually wants. If we think about our natural lives, he comes into our marriages when we are inattentive, unconcerned, selfish, and taking each other for granted. He comes into families when there is a lost of respect for one another, when children become ungrateful, disobedient, and unruly. He waits...baits...and takes! And he does it quickly! He waits until things seem to be at their worst. Then he baits with things, people, opportunities, places, and positions that seem to be better, greater, more, sweeter, nicer, more prestigious, and profitable. And when we take the bait, he takes all that we have been given, all because we trusted what and who seemed to be beautiful!

I want to tell you, be aware of DEADLY BEAUTY! OPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES! Sit down and go over your own life. Be careful who you allow to speak into your life. Chose carefully those you allow to occupy a space in your heart and life. Cast down, root out, the things that you may feel are beautiful, good, godly...sweet, pretty, handsome, valuable, and profitable, the things that you have become comfortable with, but they are not truly glorifying your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Do it now, because just like the Lionfish who lays 30,000 eggs in 7 days, the devil is working quickly and in many, many ways to kill, steal, and destroy! And he is loaded with plans to reak havoc in your life in many, many areas. Remember the fact that if stung by this fish , ie, the devil, and that part goes untreated, it will decay...so will your life, relationships, Churches, Family, and Ministries!

You may feel that this is a hard thing to do. You may not know just what is really wrong in your life, why things are the way they are, or not the way that they should be. You may not even want to give up some of the Deadly Beauty the Spirit of God reveals to you! but if you truly love the Lord, and want to serve Him and live for Him, if you hate sin and the devil and his tricks and traps, and want to kick his back out, and put your foot on his head...put your trust in the Lord, and just do it! Handle your business! Keep the things you learned about the Lionfish in your mind, and compare them to the attributes of the devil!! You can do it, IN THE NAME OF JESUS! You will recognize Deadly Beauty, and defeat and destroy it with the true and beautiful things of God!!

Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
The thought was, "DNA." Do you know why you are who you are?" It made me think...Do I? So I began to look at what DNA is. Simply put, DNA is the makeup of something: the combination of features/characteristics that make something what it is. It is the main component of chromosomes that transfers genetic characteristics like traits, qualities or features in all life forms. ( I may have left something out...but you get the picture!)

DNA delivered your small or large nose, or your brown eyes and black hair. It delivered dimples to some, large or small lips and hips! And even that bad temper, compassion, or that "I don't care" attitude!" DNA tells the story of who we are, naturally. And no matter what, it can't be changed. When you take the blue contacts out, your eyes are still brown! When you stop dyeing your hair, it's brown or black, not blond! When you smile or talk, those dimples are gonna show up! When you try your best to be nice and controlled, eventually that bad temper is going to present itself. And, if you have a compassionate heart, when you want to be mean and uncaring, you can't! You got your traits, qualities, and features from your parents...the ones who naturally created you. Whether you are thin or a little fluffy, have dark skin, or light skin, kinky, straight or curly hair...mean, sweet, bossy, strong leadership qualities, or you may be timid, these things were transferred to you. And if we were to be frank, some of these things we wish we didn't have, or could change!

But the Lord pointed this out to me: "I want you to focus on who I have made you, and what I, your Heavenly Father have placed in you." This is especially awesome to me at this time! Because I have been going through a really rough period in my life, which involved health issues, people issues, financial issues, family issues, spiritual issues, etc...sound familiar? And sometimes, these issues, we all face, may cause us to ask this question, "WHO AM I, ANYWAY!!! Especially in the Lord. We don't always feel like or think like who we really are! This is exactly where the enemy wants us to be, because when we doubt who we are in the Lord, begin to lose faith in Him, and allow the things we see or go through to overtake us, we fall short, and may come to a complete halt in fulfilling the Godly purpose for our lives, and that purpose is to bring Glory to our Father through our lives! But you know, THE devil IS A LIAR! WE ARE WHO OUR FATHER MADE US TO BE!

So...BE ENCOURAGED, GODLY AND BEAUTIFUL CREATION! This is what our Heavenly Father has passed on to us through His Spiritual DNA:

We have FRUIT...Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance. (Gal.5:22-23).

We have STRENGTH"...strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man." (Eph. 3:16)

Most importantly, our spiritual DNA, which is delivered to us by THE HOLY SPIRIT, carries the Blessings of God on our lives!

We are SUCCESSFUL, because of The Blessing!

(read Deut. 28:12).

We are POWERFUL, because of the Blessing

(Acts 1:8).

We are ROYALTY, HOLY, AND PECULIAR, because of the Blessing! (1 Peter 2:9). And there is sooooo much more to us!

Our Spiritual DNA says, "For we are God's Masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the things he planned of us long ago."

(Eph.2:10 NLT).

From now on, when you start to wonder "WHO AM I, ANYWAY?!, just focus on what GOD has placed in you and who HE has made you to be by His Spirit! Remember, nothing can change DNA! And since we are created new in Christ Jesus, His Masterpiece...Why would we want to!?

Go on! Enjoy who you are! Walk in it! Because no devil in hell can stop what GOD has started/placed in you!

"And I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back."

They were in a pretty bad situation and she said some very bad, ugly, hurtful things to him and about him. Later, they overcame the situation and she apologized for everything she had said, and acknowledged that the things she said were unforgivable! She expressed how much she loved him, and didn't mean the things she said. His reply was, "Yes, you did mean them, you said those things, not because you don't love me, but because you don't love yourself."

For some reason, this got me to thinking...how many people out there, hurt other people with words and deeds because they don't love themselves...and the things they do and say are really things they feel about themselves and would like to do to themselves, because of this fact.

How many people have a past that they just can't let go of. How many people are miserable inside because they use to be be unlovable, and even though they have changed their lives, are truly beautiful people with good hearts, they still can't get past what they use to be. They don't know what it is to love themselves, so it's hard to really feel free to love someone else.

I wonder how many people are able to love others, do for others, have compassion for others, except others, encourage others, and even pray and intercede for others, but when it comes to themselves, they have empty thoughts, and no feelings of love or respect. They have a problem seeing what and who they really are because of all the things that use to be.

Hurts and pain that are still lying deep within the heart, terrible memories that have taken a permanent resident in the mind, vivid pictures of situations and circumstances...and especially people who have hurt them, and who they have hurt, forbid them from living...they may be alive, but they are not really living...because they are never really at peace, they never have learned to love who they really are, without the all of the ugliness...

This one scripture dropped in my heart for anyone who may feeling this way: 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">Being a "new creature" in Christ means the old creature is dead and gone! Being new means not old or familiar! It means different from the former! It means refreshed and regenerated! It means being such for the first time! Being in Christ means:

you are young...no matter what your age!

you are a person that people, the devil, and even you are unfamiliar with! A person that is lovable, from the inside out!

<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">you are refreshed and regenerated because of the love of God and the Blood of Jesus!

you are born again...you have been given a chance to be you, who God has created you to be, as if it were the first time! Sparkling clean, fresh start to a new life!

Throw away the obituary of the creature that died! Take the time to fall in love with who God has made you! Start loving yourself, doing for yourself, taking care of yourself, and encouraging yourself! Praise and thank God for giving you a new life! When you do, you will be amazed at how your life will change!

If you don't know Jesus Christ, today is the perfect day to except Him, by faith as your Savior and Lord! He will make your life brand new! Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (NLT).

Blessings and much Love!

As you read this, you may get a little agitated. But I believe the Lord is sending this word, to make us all stop, and think. Why do you do the things you do in church, for others, in ministry, etc.? The question is coming from Matthew 6:1-4. Verse 1 says, "Watch out! Don't do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven." (NLT). The text is talking about giving to the needy, but the principle also points to the motives behind doing what Christians are suppose to do, and that's righteousness. This verse screams the theme that righteousness, which means "acting in an upright way", should not be done for public recognition.

If we are to be real here, humans, Believers included, have a natural inclination to seek praise for themselves, rather than God! People, whom we are, love to be seen and recognized...even those who proclaim, "Oh, I'm okay just sitting in the back", "I really don't need to have a title", and those who come to church or other events "fashionably late", knowing everyone will turn and see them when they walk in! HA! You might as well say Amen! People like attention! But, It's not suppose to be a bad thing.

Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 5:14-16, "You are the light of the world- like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, SO THAT EVERYONE WILL PRAISE YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER." (NLT). He was telling them that their righteousness, their good deeds will be a positive thing in the eyes of the world, and have positive effects on people and the world! But Jesus warns them..."Watch out!" Don't do what you do to be seen!

Let's just keep it real and make it plain...If we as Believers, whether we are Bishops, Pastors, Evangelist, Prophets, worship leaders, choir members, dancers, deacons, armor bearers, ushers or layman...If you are doing what you do, as a performance, to entertain, to advertise YOUR success, to compete for greatness or to be first, when your desires are met, and everyone "sees" you, YE HAVE NO REWARD OF YOUR FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN. (MAT.6:1 KJV). EVERYTHING we do must Glorify the Father! But in order for that to happen, we must get our hearts and motives in check! We have to kill the flesh, and step aside from pride. We must truly come to grips with the fact that without God we can do nothing! SO ALL GLORY BELONGS TO HIM! Really loving Him, being in an intimate relationship with Him, really knowing Him and His love for us will strip away our tendency to do things to take His glory.

We have a choice here. We can allow the Holy Ghost to work within our hearts and minds to create clean hearts and clean minds that will produce pure motives, that will insist that our lives glorify the Lord, or we can be hypocrites, pretending to be giving glory to God, while inwardly seeking attention for ourselves. We must remember that being righteous means being morally right, and acting in an upright way. We cannot be this kind of Believer without totally being recreated! 2 Cor 5:17, "This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" (NLT). This means that the inclination or tendencies we had to bring glory to ourselves, should now be gone, and replaced with the desire to GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY AND ALL THE PRAISE.!

So...Why do you do, what you do?

BUT VICTORIOUS!!<span style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;"> At first, I didn't know why the Lord dropped the word "vulnerable" in my spirit. But, I knew it was for a good reason, so I began to listen and think about it. Many time we hear the word vulnerable used to describe a person that is weak for one reason or another. I have heard it used to describe a person that is not aware of, or able to ward off, or detect some sort of attack, trick or seduction. This, in some instances, makes people pity one who is deemed vulnerable. People may even think that the vulnerable person is an ignorant person, with a sign on their back that reads, "take advantage of me!" or "I can be fooled."

But what does this word really mean? Or better yet, what does it have to do with me, Lord? What does it have to do with your people? Well, let's look at what the word means.
The word "Vulnerable" means: CAPABLE OF BEING PHYSICALLY OR EMOTIONALLY WOUNDED OR HURT. OPEN TO TEMPTATION, PERSUASION. SUSCEPTIBLE TO BEING WOUNDED OR HURT, AS BY A WEAPON. When I read this definition, my spiritual eyes and ears opened.

I began to see myself, my life, and some things I have gone through, and especially the call God has place on my life to preach and teach His Word, as well as prophesy, and bring healing and deliverance to His people. I saw the anointing of a mentor and mother in operation to pull women, and men up from under the bondage of sin, guilt and shame and how they have, and will become free from the grips of the enemy, because of the Power of God! And I also saw the Sword he put in my mouth to cut and heal by His Spirit. It made me realize that all of this made me VULNERABLE! "Capable of being physically or emotionally wounded or hurt...open to temptation and persuasion...susceptible, (meaning capable of some specified treatment) to being wounded or hurt, as by a weapon!

The Lord was reminding me that because of who I am, and WHO'S I am, because of what He has call me to do, I am capable of experiencing the physical, emotional, and spiritual attacks of the enemy. He even allowed me to see how I was tempted and will be tempted to compromise who I am in Him and what He has call me to do. He began to let me see that the attacks have come, and will come in all forms. Bodily attacks of sickness and unexplained pain. Emotional attacks on my feelings that were cause by people being used by the enemy, who have come or are even present now, dressed in sheep clothing, but are "ravening wolves" presenting themselves in false deceptive ways, speaking beautiful so called "godly" words, which are all false and represent their god, the devil! He showed me the wounds that I have received over the years that were meant to not only stop me, but kill me! And unfortunately, He revealed future plans and assignments of the enemy...or should I say, fortunately!

But you must know that the Lord encouraged me with His Word!! He began like this:

Isaiah 41:10, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I AM YOUR GOD. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with My VICTORIOUS right hand." (NLT).

2 Timothy 3:12, "Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. (NLT).

2 Corinthians 4:8-9, " We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not destroyed;"

Ephesians 6:10, " A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil."

This made me understand without a doubt, that being vulnerable was not a bad thing in God's eyes, it is just a fact and characteristic of a holy life! A "souled out" life! A life chosen to represent and to do the work of the Lord! But most importantly it is a life that is protected, strengthened, and helped by God Himself! A life with steps ordered by the Lord! And, when we live this life, we can be assured that the Spirit of God will reveal and then quench the fiery darts of the wicked! We will be found standing firm, when the battle is over! Yes, we may be a little troubled, perplexed, persecuted, and cast down, but we surly are not distressed, in despair, forsaken nor destroyed!!! GLORY TO GOD!!!

So today, Woman of God, Man of God, remember your vulnerability to the things the enemy throws your way, only confirms you are HIS CHOSEN VESSEL! A Believer that has chosen to live godly for Christ! So, let's make some things clear...You ARE able to ward off attacks, you ARE able to detect wolves in sheep clothing! You ARE able to spot a trick of the enemy and to resist seduction! And it's all because of the Power of the HOLY GHOST!

Thanks LORD! For showing me and your people that we are VULNERABLE ...BUT VICTORIOUS!!!
Especially when we think of being blessed in a material, tangible way. But more importantly to me, is to be blessed with a life that is whole because of God's presence. There are many definitions of the words "bless/blessing/blessed". A few are, "God's divine favor resting upon one." "To bestow good of any kind upon." "To grant happiness, health, or prosperity." But the one often skipped over is, "To consecrate or make, pronounce, holy." I guess I'm going to have to be the one to remind you, as I was reminded, that there are requirements to being blessed by the Lord, and also, make you stop and think the next time you say, "I AM BLESSED!"

Psalm 1: 1-2 says this, "Oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night." (NLT) These verses describes the way of righteousness we need to walk in as women and men of God. When I re-read this, I saw that a blessed person needed to be a person that has chosen to be separated from people who just ain't right! From those who you can't have a conversation with without something negative, evil and wicked coming out of their mouths, or being demonstrated by their behavior, but they enjoy telling you what you and everyone else should do! You know what I'm talking about...the Word made it plain! It used the word "mockers" or "the scornful", meaning people who attack you and others with contempt and ridicule. In God's eyes, this type of person is ungodly. The ungodly pleases the fleshly, lustful things they desire, instead of desiring to please God. They can in no way be delighting in the Law of the Lord, nor meditating on it. Are there any ungodly attributes present in you or the people you associate with? If so, sorry, No Blessing!

But the godly person loves, and obeys God's Word, because they know what it says, because of time spent reading it and thinking about and living it daily. This is the way we delight in His Law. The godly person's life is characterized by the love of God operating through them, by walking in obedience to God...this person strives to be righteous. And, as they continue to strive, there will be certain things that they will shun! Like "profane and vain babblings." and the appearance of evil. You just can't experience God's blessing without casting off or separating from things that will utterly destroy your qualifications for being truly blessed!

To sum it up, If you want to be truly blessed like Psalm 1:3 says..."...like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." Meaning the definition of the word bless/blessed is who and what you are...protected from evil, happy, healthy and prosperous, meaning whole in every area, especially in the LORD, then you must be named among The Righteous! It's the only choice we have! Unless you prefer receiving what the wicked will receive...verses 4-5, "...They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgement. Sinners will have no place among the godly." I want the promise in verse 6a, "For the Lord watches over the path of the godly..." I WANT TO BE TRULY BLESSED! DON'T YOU!? OK then, continue to be "Godly and Beautiful!" so you can say with assurance, "I AM BLESSED!"
It just appeared out of
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif; font-size: large;">nowhere! And you had to think and act swiftly to make things right? Have you ever had to discreetly fix or clean up someone's mess in order to keep your family, or maybe a relationship, and yourself from destruction, trouble or failure? And though you had to think on your feet, it worked out?! Well, it worked out because of the wisdom God placed in you. It worked because as a woman, God gave us the instinct to protect our families and loved ones, at any cost!
And when you are a Godly woman, His Spirit puts a level of compassion and love in you, so that it does not matter how your actions may effect you, as long as the outcome is favorable for your family! There are many out there right now that should be screaming, THANK YOU LORD FOR MAKING WOMEN!

Just for a while, I want to talk about a woman in the Bible, that I feel is a great example of a woman God made wise, protective and beautiful. Her name is Abigail. The story is in 1 Samuel 25. Abigail is described as being a "woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance." Meaning she was wise, smart and beautiful. She was married to a man named Nabal, whom the Bible describes as being "churlish", which means rude and ill-bred, and he was also "evil in his doings." Nabal had the right name! His actions proved it. He was a wealthy sheep owner whose property David's men had protected. One day, David decided to ask for some supplies in return for that protection. But when he did, Nabal was rude and refused! David was so enraged that he went out with 400 armed men to destroy Nabal and his entire household! Everyone was going to die! But when Abigail was told by a young man, of her husbands actions, SHE sprung into action!

She decided to meet David and offer him many, many supplies. She even took the blame for her foolish husband! She fell at David's feet and said, "Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be..." She used wisdom, humbled herself, and began to speak to David from her heart. Her words, the words I believe God placed in her heart to say, saved her life and the lives of her family, including her husband, and his men. Not only that, God used her to keep David from committing a great sin! "David said to Abigail, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, which sent thee this day to meet me: And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which hast kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand." (1 Sam.25:32-33).

But the story goes on, because Abigail had to still tell her husband what she had done! But when she went to him, he was drunk from a feast he had held. The next morning, afraid I'm sure, Abigail went to Nabal and told him what she had done. Instead of him being grateful that his life was spared, he got so mad that he had a stroke! The Bibles says "...his heart died within him, and he became as a stone." (vs.37).

The Lord's hand was in this from the beginning. He used Abigail to save many from destruction! Destruction that would have been the result of one man's wickedness. This may sound hard...but I feel that what happened next was God's way of further taking care of one of His Godly and Beautiful women...Verse 38 says, "And it came to pass about ten days after, that the Lord smote Nabal, that he died." Soon after that, this wise, protective, and beautiful woman, was asked to marry David, and guest what, the Bible says she HASTED and arose to become David's wife! GLORY TO GOD!!!

So let this story encourage you to continue to be the WISE, PROTECTIVE AND BEAUTIFUL WOMAN God created you to be! This is for the MEN OF GOD, also! We are all in a battle with the enemy for our lives! It gets really hard sometimes, I know! Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed by what you are facing, especially if it's no fault of your own. You may be a victim of the works of the devil, and his imps! But rest assured, God will take care of you and yours! He will place Godly wisdom inside of you, pair it with knowledge and instinct, and cause you to come through as Godly And Beautiful (or Handsome) as He made you! And as for your enemy, stand still, hold your peace and your sword! You don't have to avenge your own hand! Because not many day hence, the Lord will smote your Nabal, and he will also die!

Be proud of who God has made you! Rejoice in the works of His hands! Why? Because we all know that without Him, whew!!! What a mess we were and would still be!

Because of what JESUS did for us in His death, burial and resurrection, we can overcome anything! We just have to remember to abide in the vine, the true vine! John 15:5 says,"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." We are so blessed to have the Spirit of God abiding on the inside of us! Instructing us, guiding us, and protecting us! Allow Him to use YOU, as He did Abigail, to prevent the destruction of many!

Blessings!
But the important thing here is, God wanted them to be delivered! Even though they were hard headed and stiff necked, He continued to love them, as he does us today! So, He set a plan in motion to raise up a man that would be used for this purpose.

It all started in a town called Zorah. In this town lived a man named Manoah. The bible says that Manoah's wife was barren, and they had no children. But her life was about to change, and not only that, what was about to happen in her life, would change many, many lives in the years to come. The Bible says in Judges 13:3, "And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son." In verses 4-5, the angel began to give Manoah's wife specific instruction to follow during her pregnancy, and for after the birth of her son. Because Manoah's wife was going to give birth to the child that would eventually "begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines", he needed to be completely dedicated to God, even before birth. This child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb! This meant that God intended for the child, who's name was Samson, to live according to His highest standards for His people.

I'm writing about this story because after reading it, I realized that WE DON'T EVEN KNOW MANOAH'S WIFE'S NAME! It also said to me, because the angel of the Lord appeared directly to "the woman", it demonstrated her spiritual connection to God, her character, and strength. God knew He could trust her to obey His instructions! He trusted and blessed her to carry and give birth to the one He would use to begin Israel's deliverance from the Philistines! The woman, WHO'S NAME WE DON'T KNOW, showed God no doubt and no fear. She was ready to get the job done for God, so HE would get the Glory!

This got me to thinking about today's Christian society...you know, "The Church", "Church Folk", "The Body of Christ", etc. It has become so important that we be known to one another and to the world. The Lord allowed me to see how the Church, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers...Musicians, Singers, and now even Dancers, Mimes, and other workers, promote themselves and "their" ministries, more than they do Him and His Word! He showed me how television commercials for churches and ministries, radio program, conferences, and events commercials, magazine ads, billboards, and even business cards and flyers, say little if anything about HIM! The Lord showed me that this causes His saving Power to be hindered, the Light of His Spirit to be blocked from those who are lost, from those who need to be delivered and set free, because they are seeing the bright light of pride, arrogance, and selfishness in His place...a nasty trick of the enemy! All I can say is LORD HELP US ALL!!

Then the question came to me, "ARE YOU LIKE MANOAH'S WIFE?" No one even know her name!! Yet she was seen by God to be worthy to be used by Him. God knew that she would obey Him! Nothing was mentioned about her talents, her gifts, her looks, her status in the community...we don't know where she's from, who her daddy was, not even her age! But what we do know is that GOD USED HER! Judges 13: 23 also shows me that she also knew her God! The son that she birthed and raised, began the deliverance of Israel. And the work was completed 150 years later in the days of King David!

Manoah's Wife! Whatever her name is, she encouraged me! I HOPE YOU ARE ENCOURAGED, TOO! Her story is teaching a priceless lesson to women and men everywhere! My spirit is crying out to the Lord, even as I write this; LORD!! PEOPLE DON'T NEED TO KNOW MY NAME! JUST USE ME FOR YOUR GLORY! JUST MOVE IN MY LIFE SO OTHERS WILL SEE YOU, AND NOT ME! While I was speaking this, The Lord said, "Proverbs 18:16, "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men." He went on to say, "Every good and perfect gift comes from me. Without me, you can do nothing. Just as I made Manoah's wife to serve a purpose for My Glory, so have I made you to do the same! But, my glory I will not give to another! The gifts that I have placed in you will operate by My Spirit...if you allow me to remain in control. By My Spirit, and by My Spirit only, will you achieve great success. Anything else is just the works of your hands, and it will all fail."

Women of God, people of God, you were created for great things to come through you! The very souls of many will be saved through the work of the Spirit in your life...just remember Manoah's wife, THE WOMAN WHO'S NAME IS NOT KNOWN BY MEN, BUT WAS HONORED BY GOD!

This is a question for everyone...ARE YOU LIKE MANOAH'S WIFE?

Blessings!
Well, I see it as the mentality that you have to "lobby" for a position in a man's life and for his love and attention. It also involves thinking that having a child, or children, will cause a man to love and respect you, and want you for a wife or permanent partner. <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">But most importantly, it describes a woman that does not recognize when she is wonderfully blessed by the Lord. She is not capable of realizing that she is special in the eyes of the Lord because she stays before Him in prayer. She is overlooking the fact that her prayers are being answered! She doesn't see the compassion the Lord has toward her because she is being mistreated, used, and her heart is broken. This woman does not sense the Spiritual touch of the Lord's hand on her life, because she constantly longs for the touch of <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">a man...a man that desires, and loves another woman, is thinking only of himself, and has not learned to follow God's plan!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Let's talk about Leah for a minute. Leah is the oldest daughter of Laban, and the wife of Jacob. Gen. 29:7, says that Leah was "tender eyed", but Rachel was beautiful and well favored. I have always heard that tender eyed meant that Leah was cross-eyed, but after researching the term, it seemed that it could mean that she had "weak eyes", or "soft eyes", "cow eyes", if you will, which was her only good physical quality. But Rachel was considered to be strikingly beautiful all the way around. Leah was used from the beginning, by her own father in a scheme. The scheme involved the man that she would spend years trying to make love and want her...Jacob!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Here we have two sisters, that will become rivals over a man that had deceived his father, Isaac into giving him the blessing that really belonged to his brother Esau. Because of this trick, the trickster left home, fearing for his life because of what he had done, and went to his uncle Laban in Mesopotamia, to find himself a wife. But, as we all know, you reap what you sow! The trickster got tricked! He met Rachel, fell in love with her. And because he was penniless, he bargained to work for seven years to marry her. But on the wedding night, the father of the bride played a trick on Jacob in order to get him to work longer...he substituted Leah for Rachael! Because Jacob truly loved Rachel, he agreed to work for seven more years to have her. This meant that poor Leah had to live in the shadow of her own sister...she had to put up with knowing that her husband, didn't want her, thought she was ugly, and would do everything he could to be with the woman that stole his heart! Her own sister!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
I feel that this had to really hurt Leah and give her some self esteem issues. And as for Jacob, he does finally get Rachel, and though his heart may have been with Rachel, he had no problem allowing his body to constantly find its way to Leah! But it is clear, Jacob prefers Rachel, and he demonstrates this fact. But God blesses Leah, he has compassion on her and opens her womb! While Rachel was barren. Right away, Leah begins to have children, but this does not change the way Jacob feels.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
This is why I feel Leah's mentality should be pointed out: Leah is so insecure in her relationship or lack there of, that she demonstrated her high hopes to win Jacob's love and devotion, The name of her sons tell the story. She names her sons:

<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

Reuben, which means "See, a son."

Simeon, which means "God heard that I am unloved."

Levi, which means "Now my husband will be with me."

and the fourth son Judah, which means "Thanks! and Praise."

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Now, the battle gets nasty! Rachel is so jealous...note she is the one who has the man's heart, but that's not good enough for her either, so she lends her man to her maid to have two children! So, what does Leah do? Because she is no longer as fertile, she has her maid bear two sons! Leah is still desperate for the attention and love of her husband, Jacob, that she makes a bargain with Rachel to give her the mandrakes her son Reuben found in return for a night with Jacob. Mandrakes were said to have fertility-inducing powers and, they were also known to be an aphrodisiac. So, she HIRES her own husband, and guess what!? The mandrakes work! The woman has two more sons!! What are their names...let's see:

<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

Issachar, which means "God have given me my hire" and

Zebulon, which means "Now my husband will honor me" AND, SHE ALSO HAS A DAUGHTER, Dinah!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Looking at Leah made me see so many today who have the same negative things happening or has happened in their lives, too:

<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

She was used as a substitute.

She was a part of a trick or game.

She competed for a man's love and attention.

She used having children to try to win a man.

She paid for sex!

She is blind to the presence of God in her life.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
But let me show you the POSITIVE things about Leah, that she didn't even recognize!:

<ul style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

God had compassion for Leah because she was hated, and Jacob preferred Rachel. He blessed her with six sons, which was considered to be a GREAT BLESSING, because in those times women were valued for their ability to have boys (children in general, but especially boys).

She was the blessed one of the two sisters.

Rachel competed in the spirit of jealousy, but Leah just wanted to be loved.

She was Jacob's FIRST wife, nothing could change her position.

Rachel was barren but Leah was blessed to have many children long before Rachel had one.

She demonstrated what God loves, and that is truth. Rachel resorted to being a thief and a liar.

She was blessed to out live Rachel.

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
To further show that Leah was indeed the blessed one, she was the one that was given the great honor of being in God's plan to be the mother of the two tribes that played the most important role in Israel's history! The tribe of Levi, which is the tribe of Priesthood, and the tribe of Judah, which is the tribe of royalty! JESUS CHRIST, THE PROMISED SEED CAME THROUGH THIS TRIBE! Also, when Leah died, Jacob, her husband, seemed to finally see what God's plan was for him. He honored her and had her buried beside where he was to be buried...with family, in the Cave of Machpelah with Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah...but not Rachel. Leah was a favored Woman of God! GODLY AND BEAUTIFUL IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Leah! If I could talk to you now, I would say, you may not have been blessed and loved by the man you wanted, you may not have been beautiful in his eyes and in the eyes of the world around you, your man may not have given you the status you wanted, but girl...

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
YOU ARE THE BLESSED ONE!! YOU HAVE THE MAN THAT CAN GIVE YOU EVERYTHING, CARING FOR YOU! LOVING YOU AND PROVIDING FOR YOU! GOD ALMIGHTY!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
So, to the Beautiful Women today that may have the "Leah Mentality", to those who may know someone who has this mentality, even to those who are saying, "She was crazy!" "That couldn't be me!" Or this one, "I don't need no man that bad!", all while denying and hiding the real facts...after reading my paraphrased version of this story, open your spiritual eyes! See yourself through the eyes of God! Take a long hard look at all the ways you ARE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED! Embrace what you have and who you are! Be thankful for what IS and LIVE! DON'T WASTE YOUR LIFE...LIVE IT!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
Those of you that are living the privileged life of being saved, and to those who are not yet save, and I am declaring and decreeing Salvation over your lives...YOU ARE A GODLY AND BEAUTIFUL WOMAN! You just have to KNOW IT and ACT LIKE IT!

<div style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">
